Management & Operating Plans
Forest management is now a multi-resource management commitment for all stakeholders. All natural resources and societal expectations need to be taken into consideration to achieve biodiversity objectives and sustainable harvest levels.
Timber Supply
Long-term planning of fiber supply (pulp & paper industry) and timber supply (saw-mill industry) by including constraints such as wildfire, ice stroms, insect & disease epidemic, etc...in supply calculations based on recent inventory and aerial photography / satellite imagery interpretation.

Annual Harvesting Plans
Long-term management plans are broken down into annual operating plans in which harvest blocks are assigned to operators.
|
Annual Silviculture Plans
Silviculture treatments are targeted in forest stands requiring intervention. These are identified throught a multitude of field assessments.

Wildlife Management
 |
Various species such as White tailed deer require special habitat management in Eastern Canada as their natural domains overlap with potential harvesting areas and need shelter from the often-rigorous Canadian winters.
Harvesting techniques and objectives are then modified to ensure that timber harvesting will be done to preserve habitat integrity or improve habitat conditions, if need be.
